FT: Where is that spark?

Hello folks. A short post.

After two years of hiatus from practice work and a drop in recurring fee income, I do not know where to start.

I am working on finding the highly motivated small practice owner that I once was.

The actions I took in the past to get my practice from zero fee to a level that I considered good, I am not sure will work now. I am out of date on marketing.

It is not helped by my recent real dislike for social media.

I am also looking into taking on outside marketing help. The problem is trying to assess who would bring a decent return on investment. Talk is cheap and easy.

Marketing is a wide term. I am talking about digital marketing. I see it as follows:

  • SEO
  • Blogs
  • Social Media
  • Google Ads
  • Own website

Note to self, advice from the past me:

  • Plan
  • Sytemise
  • Market – SEO, Google Ads, Networking,
  • Staff motivation – a motivated team is a productive team
  • Delegate delegate delegae
  • Put client satisfaction centre to everything you do for the practice. All your actions should revolve around this key aspect.
  • Client surveys?
  • KPIs?
  • Referrals
