My first week on the weight loss pills was successful. I lost 3.5 lbs. I am pleased. As you know, I have a long way to go (now 54.4 lbs) before I get to my target weight.
I intend to get to my goal weight by the end of 2016. Honestly, my dear reader, being obese affects you in so many ways.
Aside from significant health risks and likely to be a burden on already stretched NHS, it also affects your confidence, social life and other key aspects of your life. Never, never be where I am now.
Every time I look myself in the mirror, I ask myself why the hell did I let myself get in such a terrible state? Why did I not act after putting on the first five pounds? Believe me, once I get to my target weight, I will make damn sure I stay that way.
In the middle age and old age stages of my life, I want to as healthy and as contented as I can be.
In the last two days of my first week, one of the side effect of the pills for me was an upset stomach. So from today, I was taking the same amount of increased water and reduced food intake but without the pills. I will see how this goes.
I now drink 8 pints of water a day. This is an increase of 6 pints a day compared to pre pills days. The impact of this is I am well alert; I do not have sweet cravings, and I do not feel that hungry anymore. I will see how I get on without the pills.
My food intake/routine is as follows:
- Before getting on the saddle for the office I drink 2 pints of water
- 4 miles cycle ride to the office
- Breakfast in the office made up of 1 or 2 Nakd bars
- 12pm 2 pints of water
- 1pm Lunch made of 1 or 2 Nakd bars
- 5 pm 2 pints of water
- Evening heavy meal
- Cycle 4 miles home
- Small glass of orange juice
- 2 pints of water before bed
This time, I am so determined to be happier! Let’s see how next week My Weight blog goes. This will now be a weekly feature. Maybe.
