GreedThe agent on the landlord’s side is messing around on our shop front offer. We requested a meeting to thresh things out. All the other side wanted was a better offer.

They claim they have better offers. They may have. On the other hand, they could just be wanting a better offer from us.

My agent and I have put in our final offer. No more messing around.  They either accept or reject the offer. We do not want to engage in elaborate negotiations that may not get us anywhere. It would just give ammunition to the landlord to get more rent from other offers.

After speaking to my agent we came to the conclusion it would not be financially viable to improve on the following offer (putting my emotions aside)

1) Pay the asking rent

2) Reduce the rent free period from 6 months to 3 months

If we get it great. If not, I will start looking for something else in February 2014.
